When people think of search engine optimization I am what comes to mind. Some people may have an idea of what I am and most know that I am important but do not have a clue on how to implement me.
Search engine optimization is absolutely critical in order to be found on the search engine there are two main areas that you have to be concerned with in order for people to find you.
The first is on page optimization and the second is off page optimization. The on page optimization involves making sure that the code on your web page is a search engine friendly. Off page optimization is getting one way links back to your web site. You can have the most optimized web page in the world but if no one is linking to it you may never get bound in the search engines.
Beware of companies that will charge you a large monthly fee for search engine optimization and a second large monthly fee for a linking program. The reality is that once a web page is optimized you seldom have to go back and re-optimize that page. Search engine optimization and link building are part the same process. Anyone who charges a monthly fee for search engine optimization and does not include when building is stealing your money!
